Ellie Parker is 2!!

Ellie Parker turned 2 years old last week! I can hardly believe how she has grown...she learns something new every day, and I learn something from her each day as well. We have the best talks, and she has such a kind soul. She loves all animals, and she is addicted to the movie Finding Nemo (we literally watch it 10 times a day!) and that's what she wanted as her birthday party theme....too bad Nemo party decorations are desolate nowadays!!! After the employee at Party City laughed in my face when I asked about Nemo decorations, I had to get really creative...

We got some male betta fish for the centerpieces on the tables, which the kids loved!

adorable gift bags that my mom made!

We covered the wall in blue paper from Hobby Lobby, and I made the birthday banner with scrapbook paper, some ribbon, and a Sharpie marker!

My sweet fiance did the balloon arch, which turned out great!

some of the yummy food! (Don't laugh at my cheese puff anemone!!!)

Kate from Honey Moon Bakery in Rome, GA outdid herself again on the cake! It was the talk of the party, and oh-so-delicious! Ellie grinned from ear to ear when she saw it and said "Nemo!!!"

Seeeee, I do paint for my own child from time to time! Ellie came up to the table as I was working on this painting last week and said "Oh, beautiful! Good job, Mommy!" Just the approval I needed! She's such a sweet girl!

I got these faux flowers from Hobby Lobby and Wal-Mart,
and my future mom-in-law arranged them beautifully! There's a pretty blue betta fish in there somewhere, too!

My Mamaw made her (famous) sugar cookies, and Weston and I made the fondant clown fish toppers. Kudos to cake bakers everywhere - fondant is no walk in the park to work with!

Happy Birthday, Ellie Parker! Mommy and Daddy love you THIS much!

Lap Desks

I finished this lap desk today for Ellie Parker's birthday - which is 14 days away!
I can't believe she will be two! Time FLIES.
I'm thinking about offering these soon, i painted this one with acrylic and paint pens and put a few coats of sealer on top to keep the paint from chipping. I love the outcome!
